Where this comes from

First-partyEA Logbook lists obtainable styles; Blackleg noted removed in Sportskeeda FAQ.
Multi-sourceTrainer names/costs agree across Sportskeeda, Bloxodes, Item Level, and Gamezebo; Trickster chain order agrees with the same set.
Our own runsKey frames from Builderboy TV, Radex Tips, and Soraixx YouTube how-tos — synthesized multi-video steps, not a frame-by-frame recap.
UnknownExact Loki quest step names; Hoarder drop rates official vs ~10% creator reports.

Gold buffer: about 2,500G for all trainer fees if you buy every style (250+250+1000+1000). Farm Anchor repeatables before Maple.

Brawler (Anchor Town)

Wallace Brawler trainer on Anchor docks

  1. Go to Anchor Town Beach / port docks.
  2. Find the fishing shop that sells rods and worms.
  3. Talk to Wallace training behind/beside that shop (red trainer marker).
  4. Pay 250 Gold to learn Brawler.

Novice Swordsman (Anchor Town)

Anchor Town Novice Swordsman / Shiro route

  1. Start near Captain’s Brat and the fruit/vegetable stall.
  2. Jump the wall behind the stall into the Pond.
  3. Talk to Shiro.
  4. Pay 250 Gold for Novice Swordsman (Logbook base name).

Trickster secret route

Trickster is the only style that needs a chain. Do not climb the Ferris wheel first.

Loki at Anchor Town Plaza

  1. First Loki (Anchor Town): Sitting by the shoreline / harbor near Nessa and the wardrobe / port. Complete his live quest objectives.

Afuaru the Hoarder Logbook drops for Pickpocket and Pocket Sand

  1. Hoarder drops: Defeat Afuaru, the Hoarder in Anchor Town until you obtain and learn both Pickpocket and Pocket Sand. Creator-reported drop chance is about 10% each — budget multiple kills.

Clownival Ferris wheel area for second Loki

  1. Second Loki (Clown Town): Sail to Clown Town, enter the carnival, climb the Ferris wheel using wooden beams, and talk to Loki in a carriage near the top.
  2. Pay 1,000 Gold to finish the Trickster unlock.

If Anchor Loki or the skills are incomplete, Clown Loki may not spawn or will not offer the buy — guides agree on this order.

Marksman (Maple Village)

Marksman trainer dialogue with Captain Esopo

  1. Sail to Maple Village when your leveling route reaches the ~70+ band.
  2. Enter via the docks and push toward Rocky Shores / Beast Wreckage slope.
  3. Find Captain Esopo in the corridor who offers to teach aim — use the Talk/train prompt, not the raid/fight prompt on the nearby combat Esopo.
  4. Pay 1,000 Gold for Marksman.

Equip / swap styles

Fighting Styles chapter in the Logbook

Buying a style does not always equip it. Return to the Food Fod / Food Foo building (spelling drifts) near Aria in Anchor Town Plaza, or the wardrobe near Nessa, go upstairs/closet, open Fighting Styles, and select an unlocked style.

Fruits and fighting styles are separate systems — a style purchase never replaces a Cursed Fruit.

Soft / hard stops

  • Soft stop: Brawler + Novice Swordsman owned and equipped once.
  • Hard stop: All four live styles owned; Blackleg ignored.
  • Never: Sail to Clown Town for Trickster before both Hoarder skills are learned.

Still unknown

  • Pickpocket / Pocket Sand drop rate (~10% creator-reported; Bloxodes says not officially established).
  • Whether buying a style auto-equips (guides say use wardrobe/closet).
  • Blackleg return timeline unknown — currently unavailable.
